  • The manufacturer of your vehicle will specify a service schedule required to maintain your dealer warranty. They will usually provide a log book that sets outs this schedule and what maintenance is required each time. At Balmain Automotive we will ensure your log book is up to date and stamped to prove the work was completed by our fully qualified mechanics, using only premium quality parts and products.

  • No. There is no obligation to take your car to any particular repairer. You just need to make sure that your car is serviced to schedule.

  • Yes, Balmain Automotive is a licensed vehicle tester and will be able to assess your car and provide a roadworthy certificate.

  • If your brakes are making a squeaking/grinding noise, it can mean your brake pads need replacing. Working brakes are a vital for safe motoring so we recommend booking your car in immediately.

  • If your engine is getting hot do NOT attempt to remove the radiator cap or touch any of the hoses. There is a very high risk of you getting severely burned. It is important to pull off the road as soon as you can and organise to get your car to a workshop.

  • A good mechanic will take the time to understand your situation and explain what needs to be done in plain language.   • ‘OEM’ stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. It refers to parts that have been provided by the maker of your car.

    Any part marked with OE (Original Equipment) means that it is identical to the original part but not made by the manufacturer.
